Posted Date: 1/13/25 (10:00 PM)

Happy New Year, Woodford County! The snow and ice have certainly provided us with an interesting start to 2025. We hope you are doing well and staying safe and warm. As always, we will continue to monitor the weather forecast and update you directly should it become necessary to make any calendar adjustments.

We wanted to send this important information out again as we prepare for the return to our school buildings.

🚨 INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS OF ALL AGES WHO RIDE BUSES:

  • Due to additional drivers as well as having the high school in a new location, the WCPS Transportation Department has made several changes to bus numbers, routes, and times for all grades. PLEASE take the time to look at the updated Road List and Shuttle/Transfer List to verify your student's proper information for transportation. All changes are listed in red on these lists.
  • MY RIDE K-12 TRANSPORTATION APP - To help with these changes, parents and caregivers now have access to an app that can be downloaded to their phones. This new app is called "MY RIDE K-12." The app allows parents and caregivers to track bus locations and times of arrival. If, for some reason, you cannot access your student's information in the app, you can send a message for help through the app directly. It will send a message to the Transportation Department and someone will respond to you directly. Directions to setting up your account are attached as files to this post.
    • Directions on how to message on My Ride K-12
    • TOP LEFT CORNER (HAMBURGER/SANDWICH ICON)
    • GO TO MESSAGE CENTER
    • SENT FOLDER
    • BOTTOM (+NEW)
    • This message is then sent to the WCPS Transportation Department

🚨 TRAFFIC INFORMATION FOR WCHS STUDENTS (IMPORTANT FOR WCMS FAMILIES, TOO):
  • This video explains the procedures for arrival and dismissal for bus transportation, car riders, and student drivers. It's important for WCHS students, families and staff to watch. We also recommend WCMS families and staff watch.

  • WCHS students who drive a WCMS sibling to school and/or pick them up from school, see the following graphics.

  • Parents and caregivers of WCMS students and student-athletes who participate in WCHS sports and clubs, see the following graphics.
