⭐️ Dr. Amber Sergent, Social Studies Teacher at Woodford County High School, is the recipient of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence Outstanding High School Teacher Award ⭐️

Woodford County Public Schools is thrilled to share that our very own Dr. Amber Sergent is the recipient of the Prichard Committee Outstanding High School Teacher Award! 

Dr. Sergent, lovingly called, "Dr. S," at WCHS, is a dedicated educator who cares deeply for the students of Woodford County. She helps to meet the needs of her students and cares for the whole child while also providing high-quality instruction and impressive learning opportunities. Dr. S draws excellence from her students by believing in them, encouraging their dreams, and holding them accountable. 

Woodford County Public Schools is so grateful to call Dr. S ours! She is a tremendous educator, a supportive colleague, and a dear friend. Congratulations to Dr. Amber Sergent on this wonderful recognition. 

The prize is presented by the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence on behalf of Mr. Prichard’s sons, Allen Prichard, Nathan Prichard, and Louis Prichard. The prize includes a cash prize of $20,000 for the teacher and $5,000 for their high school. Thank you to the Prichard Committee!
